I was born Elizabeth Ruth Bennett in Franklin County Ohio. All my family called me Kitty because I always had a cat.
My father decided we should move west and start a ranch. We were very successful and were the ranch crew. I had no brothers so my father taught me everything I needed to run a ranch.
I met a very nice man. We married. After my parents passed away we both ran the ranch.
We had 5 children who worked with us. My husband had to travel to Phoenix to buy machinery. He was attacked and killed by indians.
I still live on the ranch just south of Chloride but my boys have taken over running it.
